Helzberg Diamonds Gets New Marketing Head

Ellen Junger is the third chief marketing officer in just over a year.

RAPAPORT... Helzberg Diamonds has appointed Ellen Junger as chief marketing officer, and named Carmichael Lynch as its new ad agency of record.

Junger was previously chief customer and marketing officer for Payless ShoeSource. She has also worked for Hallmark Cards, including as chief marketing officer of Hallmark Canada, according to a statement on Carmichael’s website.

“Ellen brings a wealth of experience in retail, and will help lead Helzberg Diamonds into the next generation of innovation for the brand,” said Helzberg Diamonds CEO Beryl Raff.

Bringing aboard Junger and Carmichael Lynch is part of Helzberg’s new marketing strategy, which includes developing its customer messaging and communication methods.

“As we evolve the Helzberg Diamonds brand, we’re looking to disrupt the sea of sameness in the jewelry industry, while sharing our ‘I Am Loved’ narrative in new ways,” Raff continued.

Carmichael Lynch will attend to the creative, social, design, influencer and analytics aspects of the jeweler’s business.
