RAPAPORT... Designer and goldsmith Jack Row launched his “Architect Collection” of individually hand-crafted fountain pens in solid silver and gold and set with accents of precious sapphires and diamonds.  They are available at Harrods,  Pianki and La Couronne du Comte.
The Jack Row Architect Collection includes three variations of limited edition fountain pens each with sterling silver and black diamonds, or 18-karat yellow gold with sapphires, and 18-karat white gold set with nearly a whole carat of diamonds. Each pen also features an 18-karat gold nib.  Every design also carries a British hallmark, struck by the Birmingham Assay Office, guaranteeing the purity of the precious metals.

Row found inspiration for his designs from iconic British architecture, most notably one of London’s most famous landmarks, the Gherkin. The design prototype, which Row originally developed while studying at Birmingham’s School of Jewellery, won him a gold medal prize from the  Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths.
Row said, ''I wanted to create a collection of functional items that could be valued as much as objets d’art as fine jewelry or writing instruments. I hope they will appeal to discerning, design conscious individuals and collectors who wish to invest in exclusive British design and craftsmanship.''
Darren Walker, the gifts and stationery buyer for Harrods, added, ''Jack’s fabulous collection is luxurious, eccentric and quintessentially British, aligning perfectly with the unforgettable Harrods experience.''
