Watches of Switzerland Hires New Marketing VP

Katie Reed will oversee all North American communications for the brand, as well as for subsidiary Mayors.

RAPAPORT... Watches of Switzerland has appointed Katie Reed vice president of marketing for the US. She will be responsible for all North American communications for the brand, as well as its Mayors subsidiary.

Reed was previously vice president of marketing and revenue at Surface Media, as well as publisher of its Watch Journal magazine. She was recognized by The Wall Street Journal in 2014 as a “Woman of Note” for her role in building some of the world’s premier luxury brands, Watches of Switzerland said recently.

“We are thrilled to have Katie join our team during a time of such exponential growth for Watches of Switzerland in the US,” said David Hurley, executive vice president for Watches of Switzerland Group USA. “Her expertise in luxury goods and deep connection in the watch industry will prove to be invaluable to our continued success in the North American market.”

In her new position, Reed succeeds David Kellie, who left to take on the role of CEO at the Diamond Producers Association. She will report to Hurley.
