Press Release: JOVELLA 2011, Israel’s 8th annual international jewelry and diamond exhibition, to be held on July 5–6, 2011 in Tel Aviv, will feature novel design and original materials in a special "Designer Boulevard," as well as collaboration with Shenkar College’s Department of Jewelry Design.

The exhibition is being organized by the Stier Group, with the sponsorship of the Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI), the Israel Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor, the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute, the Israel Jewelry Manufacturers’ Association and the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce.

This year’s exhibition will feature 20 original Israeli designers in a dedicated Designer Boulevard. They represent a fresh approach to jewelry design and use of materials and in addition to gold, silver, semi-precious stones, pearls, will show items from recycled materials and plastic.

In addition, 50 students of jewelry design at Shenkar College will be exhibiting with more than 80 pieces. The Israeli jewelry and diamond industries regularly cooperate with Israeli design schools in order to incorporate young talent into their businesses. The students will be showing items made of gold, silver, brass as well as plastic, textiles, porcelain, paper and wood.

In addition to the innovative designers and design students, JOVELLA 2011 will feature exhibitors of gold jewelry, gold jewelry set with diamonds or precious stones, silver jewelry and fashion jewelry. Moreover, an IDI – sponsored Diamond Pavilion will enable Israeli Diamond Industry members to exhibit loose diamonds and diamond jewelry.
