RAPAPORT... New York diamond dealer Emanuel “Manny” Gordon died on April 7 aged 79, after contracting COVID-19.

The industry veteran, who founded the eponymous Manny Gordon Trading in 1984, trained and subsequently worked with his brother-in-law, the late William Goldberg. Goldberg’s jewelry house, William Goldberg Diamonds, announced Gordon’s passing last week — stating that his death had “left a hole in many hearts.”

Born in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Gordon started working as a traveling salesman for New York jewelry firm GC&G, before following Goldberg into the diamond business.

Described by a spokesperson for the Goldberg family as “a man of exceptional integrity,” he is survived by his wife, Stephanie, and four children. These include his daughter Patrice and son Josh, who worked with their father at Manny Gordon Trading until his death.
