RAPAPORT... Customs police seized close to $322,000 (EUR 300,000) worth of rough diamonds a man tried to sneak into Belgium in his underpants, The Independent reported.

Police believe the man had come from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, according to a statement by France’s Directorate-General of Customs and Indirect Taxes.

The hundreds of diamonds did not have any certification and were duly seized at the busy Gare du Nord train station in Paris, where the smuggler had been about to get on a train to Brussels with the packages of stones in his undergarments.
