USPTO Approves 'Diamond Illusions,' 'The Clear Light Cut,' Other Trademarks

RAPAPORT...  The U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) approved the trademark "Diamond Illusions"  on July 15 with the registration number 4569873 for Columbia Insurance Company of Omaha, Nebraska, which handles trademarks on behalf of Berkshire Hathaway. Columbia Insurance applied for the trademark on August 13, 2013 in reference to diamond jewelry and diamonds, namely stud earrings. "Diamond Illusions" was first used in commerce in April 2014. Berkshire Hathaway is the parent  of numerous companies, including Ben Bridge Jeweler, Borsheims Fine Jewelry, Helzberg Diamonds and the Richline Group.

The USPTO approved the trademark "The Clear Light Cut" on July 15 for Clear Light Diamond Company of New York, with the registration number 4569928. The trademark was requested on September 6, 2013 in reference to cut diamonds; diamond jewelry, lose diamonds and watches with diamonds. The trademark was first used in commerce in September. 

Alen Mamrout of New York received approval for the trademark "Madison Jewelers" on July 15 with the registration number 4567470. The company operates retail jewelry stores and first used the term in commerce in January 2008. In addition, Genovese Jewelers of Missouri received the trademark "Genovese Jewelers" from the USPTO on July 8 with the registration number 4563622. Genovese Jewelers has

In India, the Office of The Trade Marks Registry approved the trademark "Sarin" on July 7 for Sarine Technologies Ltd. of Kfar Saba, Israel with the registration number 2524278. Sarine filed for the trademark on May 2, 2013 and it applies to the various diamond and gemstone services provided by the company.
