RAPAPORT... Police are investigating a $2 million diamond heist that occurred overnight in North Hollywood, California. KTLA stated that a jewelry salesman from Israel  was visiting a friend's house in the 12900 block of Hatteras Street on Thursday night and was apparently carrying $2 million worth of uninsured diamonds.

But as the dealer was leaving the house,  he was rear-ended by one vehicle and then boxed-in by another on the corner of Bellaire Avenue and Burbank Boulevard. As many as six masked men emerged, smashed the dealer's windows and grabbed the diamonds. The victim was reportedly punched in the face and was  said to have suffered minor injuries.

KTLA added that "police say the jeweler did not have a body guard or insurance, making the incident appear suspicious."  Video from KABC in Los Angeles.
