Rapaport Group Appoints Exec. VP of Marketing & Publishing in India

RAPAPORT... PRESS RELEASE – December 13, 2009: The Rapaport Group announces that Nilan Singh has joined the Group as Executive Vice President Marketing & Publishing in India.

Singh will be responsible for marketing the group’s products and services, as well as for customer service and business development in the marketing and publishing fields. She will be based in the company’s marketing offices in India and will report to Pooja Kotwani, Managing Director of Rapaport India.

"We are happy to have Nilan Singh join the Rapaport Group. She is joining our management team as we develop and expand our marketing activities," said Martin Rapaport, Chairman of the Rapaport Group. "Nilan will play a key role in providing Rapaport services to thousands of new members in India. We are delighted to have her join our team."

Ms. Singh is a veteran media expert with experience as a publisher, editor and communications director. She has specialized in communications in the diamond and jewelry industry for over 16 years, serving as editor of the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council's (GJEPC) magazine for over a decade, running a communications agency and publishing a business-to-business (B2B) magazine for the retail trade. Prior to joining the Rapaport Group, Ms. Singh was briefly with the Gitanjali Group.
