RAPAPORT... Peregrine Diamonds said Brooke Clements, president and chief executive officer of its subsidiary Peregrine Exploration, has stepped down, less than a year after taking up the position. Eric Friedland, chairman of Peregrine Exploration, has been appointed president and will remain chairman.

Clements was president of Peregrine Diamonds from 2007 until January 2015, leading the company through the discovery and evaluation of the Chidliak diamond project in Nunavut. He will continue to act as a consultant to the company, according to a statement December 7.

Peregrine Exploration was established this year to manage the company's North American assets, with the exception of the Chidliak and Qilaq projects, and to use its databases to identify new potential acquisitions and development targets. Peregrine Diamonds’ current focus is primarily on Chidliak and newly acquired licenses in Botswana.

"Brooke Clements has contributed greatly to the growth of the Peregrine group,” said Friedland. “His expertise, hard work and dedication were critical in advancing Chidliak to its current stage. He played a crucial role in assembling Peregrine's highly regarded exploration team.”
