Press Release: Mehul Choksi, the chairman of the Gitanjali Group, was named as one of  50 outstanding individuals who represent the jewelry and watch industry's top powerhouses for a second consecutive year. The list is compiled by U.S. trade publication JCK Magazine.

The publication cited Gitanjali Group as one of the Indian industry’s largest manufacturers, and it also mentioned the 12 percent gain in comparative-store sales during the 2012 Christmas season at Gitanjali-owned Samuels in the U.S.

Other influencers on the list included Henry Cheng, the executive chairman of Chow Tai Fook; Bernard Arnault, the  CEO  of LVMH; François Curiel, the president  of Christie’s Asia; Johann Rupert, the executive chairman of  Richemont; Stanislas de Quercize, the CEO of Cartier; G.Nicolas ‘Nick’ Hayek Jr., the CEO of Swatch Group; Philippe Mellier, the CEO of De Beers and Thierry Stern, the president of luxury watch brand Patek Philippe.
