Botswana's Diamond Exports +25% in Feb.

Exports down 32 percent in the first two months of the year.

RAPAPORT... Botswana’s diamond exports rose 25 percent year on year to $306.5 million in February ‎‎2012, according to figures released by the Bank of Botswana. During the first two months ‎of the year, however, diamond exports fell 32 percent to $415.5 million.  ‎

The bank’s data is a representative sample of the country's full diamond trade and is ‎sourced from the Diamond Trading Company Botswana, Leo Schachter Botswana, ‎Teemane Manufacturing Co., and the Central Statistics Office.‎
