Kingold Jewelry to Present at Oppenheimer's China Dragon Conference

Kingold sales jump 161% and profit rises 34% in first quarter.

RAPAPORT... Kingold Jewelry Inc. will present during the Oppenheimer 5th Annual China Dragon Conference.  Kingold's chief financial officer, Bin Liu, is scheduled to present at 10:50 a.m. EDT on  May 17, 2011, and will be available to meet with investors throughout the day.  The gold jewelry manufacturing firm, which is based in China, released first quarter results today and reported that sales rose 161 percent to $157.7 million. Profit jumped 34 percent to $5.29 million.  

The Oppenheimer & Co. conference, which runs May 17-19 and is only open to the fund's clients,  aims to showcase emerging Chinese businesses and highlight China’s role as one of the world’s fastest growing economies.  A sample of other companies presenting at the conference include China TransInfo, a  transportation and technology company, Noah, a provider of educational services and products, and Searchmedia, a  multi- media company.
